Changes, Halloween, Vlogmas?!

A LOT has been going on over the last few weeks, both good and bad. For a number of reasons we have decided to move at the beginning of the year (yes, while I’m NINE MONTHS PREGNANT) so I’ve been trying my best not to panic and excitement is setting in. I will share more with you all once the time gets closer, but that’s been a large factor in my absence lately. I’ve started my Christmas shopping, need to start packing the items we don’t absolutely need, and feeling behind on the prep for baby boy. Speaking of the little human coming out of my body soon, feel free to comment or tweet me your name suggestions. I feel like we’ve heard every boy name in the book and nothing is jumping out to me. Give me suggestions, please!

I realized I never shared Halloween pictures on the blog... what?! I still can’t believe it’s already November ninth but whatever. What is time anymore? It escapes me constantly. We had so much fun taking the kids to the Fall Fest... fail on my part for not taking pictures. Afterward the temperature dropped significantly as we went trick or treating which is why Elle has her outfit on under her costume. Regardless they had a blast and that’s all that matters.

I’m really excited for the holiday season (and may already have part of my Christmas decor up...) and have decided to commit to VLOGMAS! Yaaaaaas! This will be my first year and I am committed to keeping up with a new video EVERYDAY as well as a little blog post to go with it. More details to come after Thanksgiving, but y’all, things are about to get crazy jolly around here! I can’t wait!

Pregnancy Update: 21 Weeks!

Holy swelling! Cramps. Random Nausea.  That pretty much sums up week 21 of this pregnancy! It’s been a week of sleepless nights followed by exhausted days. I’m sincerely trying to enjoy the way things are now because there’s nothing like the exhaustion you experience with a newborn. I can remember literally struggling to keep my eyes open during those first few months of life with Elizabeth. Right now her nap time is my favorite time of day!

I had a doctors appointment this week that went fairly well. Baby’s heartbeat was a strong 158 beats per minute and he’s moving quite frequently now. They found keytones in my urine (gross I know) so hopefully that just means I was dehydrated at the time. I don’t have bladder infection symptoms and I’m praying that isn’t a sign of more serious issues. Remember to drink your water fam! Pregnant or not, it’s important.

We haven’t made any new purchases for baby boy yet, I’m currently focusing on picking up Christmas gifts for the kids. After the holidays I’m going to do a massive shopping trip... I can’t wait to get everything ready for him! I know with how busy we are the next few months will fly by...and I’ll be introducing you all to our sweet boy. I can’t wait. 💜

Pregnancy Update: Weeks 18-20

So maybe I dropped the ball on pregnancy updates... as you already know, I was posting them a week (or more) behind and then Elizabeth and I picked up the most awful cold! It has completely thrown me off every schedule, but luckily I  feeling better and ready to recap for you all. Unfortunately my poor baby is still under the weather, but slowly getting back to her normal self. I had no idea how hard it would be to see my girl sick, even if it’s just a cold. I can’t wait until she’s one hundred percent herself again.

As far as baby boy goes all is well. I’m finally feeling his little kicks and punches on and off all day! It makes me so happy... and also has me dreading those full term baby kicks that will be coming soon. My poor ribs were constantly sore with Elizabeth at the end. Considering the way this guy moves it won’t be different this time around!

We had our anatomy scan three days ago and it went okay. I wish I could say it went wonderfully, but I was sick. Elizabeth screamed the entire time. Baby boy was in an awkward position and the tech couldn’t get the measurements she needed. Brandon couldn’t make it due to a work commitment... it just wasn’t the best experience. Fortunately we get to go back in early November to try to get what they need and Brandon will definitely be going.... and I will definitely be getting a babysitter for Elle. Hopefully the tech can get what she needs and it will all go smoothly.

I really don’t have many new symptoms other than ungodly hot flashes. We are officially half way there and I’m praying that they go away or cold weather moves in. I’m hot 24/7 and constantly sweating. It’s gross and I’m miserable in anything but crop yoga pants and a tee shirt. I have noticed some cramping/contractions on and off. My doctor said that since I am further along now it could be my uterus “practicing” for the real thing, but to try to stay off my feet a ton and drink plenty of water. If it becomes consistent we will look further into it, and I’m comfortable with that.

I believe I have recapped the last few weeks to my best ability, and I’m so grateful for how patient you all are. Thank you so much!

Early BFP Symptoms

I don't know if this is something people tend to blog about, but if my experience can help even one person I believe its worth sharing. After YEARS of trying to have a baby, tracking my BBT (basal body temp.), logging in symptoms...it can become exhausting. This post isn't necessarily about all that, but it might be a journey ill share at another time. Today I want to talk about how you feel AFTER you conceive. Yep, the dreaded two week wait/early BFP symptoms! I know these symptoms can vary widely from person to person, and can often mimic period symptoms, but I thought I would share regardless. I know I used to read and watch people talk about their BFP symptoms often, so someone out there is probably searching for this too.

1. Heavy, relentless cramping.  Yes, I know nine times out of ten this is a period symptom...but I've experienced it with every pregnancy up until the second trimester!

2. Cold & Sickness. With my daughter I did not catch the link to a head cold and pregnancy until my doctor pointed out that my immune system took a hit while carrying a baby, so this didn't clue me in back then. However when I woke up with a headache, sore throat and congestion in June, I knew something could be amiss.

3. Unquenchable thirst. I have NEVER been more thirsty than when I'm expecting. I can easily knock back a gallon of water a day. Unfortunately that also means many trips to the bathroom, but they come hand in hand.

4. Tender breasts. Pretty self explanatory.

5. Insomnia. This is probably my least favorite early BFP symptom. For me, the exhaustion doesn't kick in until around week eight. Before that I am unable to sleep....I will literally wake up every hour all night long. Its the worst!

There you have it. My very early pregnancy symptoms. Like I said earlier, these will vary for every woman and even for every pregnancy. Hopefully this helps someone out there, and it will be fun for me to look back on later since my symptom tracking days are over. Thank you so much for reading, I'll see you soon.
Bless!

Pregnancy Update: 17 Weeks!

Gooooood morning! Or afternoon, or evening, whenever you find yourself reading this. It's a beautiful Saturday here in Ohio and I thought a cup of coffee and a pregnancy update sounded like a perfect way to start my day. Week seventeen has been a doozy.

I had a check up this week and we scheduled my anatomy scan! This by far is my favorite ultrasound... baby is the perfect size to see all of his cute little features and movements. It's usually a long ultrasound, and you get so many cute pictures! We go in next week and I can't wait to share with you. Baby had a strong heartbeat and I still haven't gained any weight. Whooo! She said baby is right behind me belly button and I am starting to feel kicks more and more. It makes me even more excited to meet him! After my appointment my mom and I did a little shopping... I am all about a woodland "theme" (I hate that word in reference to babies) and buffalo plaid is giving me life. Tjmaxx had so many cute things but I managed to control myself and only walk away with a few items. How precious is the  receiving blanket set? It has little Pups on it! So obsessed.

New symptoms have cropped up this week which I'm honestly not so excited about. My breasts have been tingling, warm to the touch and stinging. I suspected my milk has been coming in and I was right, I started leaking! I know I should be excited as this is s good sign I'll be able to breastfeed, but it's just one of the not so fun parts of pregnancy for me. Nausea has reared its ugly head once again and I feel sick after every single meal... I was really hoping this pregnancy would be different on the morning sickness front. Along with that I have been dealing with heartburn almost daily. It doesn't make a different what I eat or drink, what position I sleep in... it randomly shows up and it's awful.

It's so funny how each pregnancy differs. With Elizabeth I wanted sweets ALL the time, now I can hardly eat them. I've been craving salty/ savory foods like bacon. Baked bacon to be exact. Just typing that made my mouth water! Bob Evans macaroni and cheese with bacon wrapped chicken and garlic bread.... I want it everyday. Don't worry, I'm aware it's not the healthiest and I've only had it once...I might have to cave this weekend though. Chipotle has also been on my mind almost daily! I can't get enough, it's delicious. And that wraps up this weeks update! If you are expecting, comment and let me know your favorite food craving!

Bless y'all!

Chill & Chat: Is It Hallween Yet?

It's been a minute since I just sat down and shared what's on my mind, what I've been loving, ya know. Just chill and chat time. Elizabeth is currently napping and The Real Housewives of New Jersey is playing in the background, so I'm kinda on borrowed time here. By the way can we just talk about how Bravo is bringing back Ms. Crazy pants Danielle for the new season? I've been watching since the very beginning and wondered when this day would come. I don't know her as a person, but she makes for a great reality tv personality for sure... I can't wait to discuss the new season with you all, I'm sure it's going to be a wild ride. I'm sad that Jac is leaving...she's my fave.

I don't know where you live but here in Ohio the weather has been NUTS! Fall hasn't been good to me so far.  My pregnant body cannot tolerate 90+ degree heat, it's too much. Hopefully later this week we'll get a break.... But let's be real. 1,000 degree temperatures wouldn't stop me from decorating my house on August first. I have pumpkins on my porch and country market candles burning all day long! It's glorious, even if it doesn't feel like fall yet. Have I mentioned the BBW candle dupes I found at Walmart? I'm planning a full review soon, but I'm always raving about them to anyone that will listen. They are unbelievable!

This season is one of my favorites (second only to Christmas) because I LOVE scary movies. Thrillers. Paranormal films. Even kids Halloween movies, I watch them all. I have to say that Scream is one film I could (and do) watch repeatedly without getting bored. Wes Craven is a genius in my eyes... The ending is so unexpected. It scares you, but has a funny undertone as well. I can watch all four everyday from August to November and be totally content. Unfortunately, the Scream series isn't exactly child friendly, so I've enjoyed watching Hocus Pocus with the kids. The Sanderson Sisters are everything.

Who else gets this reference? So accurate.
October will be here in four days, which feels wrong somehow. I don't know where this year has gone, but I'm so excited for all the things coming in the new year. I've purchased Elizabeth's Halloween costume and I've even started Christmas shopping. What? It's early, I know. I like to start early so we are not super overwhelmed and end up spending our entire Christmas Eve in stores trying to nab last minute gifts because we didn't prepare. And who likes the crowds and struggling to find things because they sold out? Not me. Especially not heavily pregnant me... Which is also the reason I'll be decorating for Christmas this year in early November. Before you disown me, hear me out! I'm the only one that decorates our house, and my mid December I'll just be to pregnant and uncomfortable to get it done this year. Plus, the earlier it goes up the longer you can enjoy it. Win, win.

I think that's all my brain has to offer today, as we've jumped from two different holidays, reality tv and my fave movies. I think I'm going to fold laundry and visit Woodsboro... Wherever you are, I hope the air is cool and you are in good spirits. Until next time, thank you so much for stopping by. Bless!

Pregnancy Update: 16 Weeks

Let's talk about my sixteenth week of pregnancy, shall we? (BTW can we just take a second to soak up how unbelievable that is??) it's a little unsettling how quickly this pregnancy is passing by...and I know it will go by even faster once the holidays roll around. I'm a little late in posting this... My weeks flip on Fridays and it's now the following Wednesday. What can I say, time gets away from me sometimes! Our weekend was super packed taking all three kids all over creation to spend Chandlers birthday money. In case you're wondering, we went to three stores and spent forty five minutes standing in the toy aisle of Walmart trying to make a decision,  lo and behold he ended up buying a video game we looked at in the first five minutes of being in the store. Go figure.

Once we were home recuperating from our shop-a-thon I realized a new symptom has popped up: swollen feet. Y'all I'm telling you I hardly every had this issue with Elizabeth's pregnancy, and when I did it was at the very end. I'm not even halfway and I already have swollen tender feet if I stand for more than an hour at a time. I'm hoping and praying this isn't a signal of complications down the road, so do me a favor and send good vibes my way. Thankfully morning sickness has almost disappeared completely... I only notice it if I go long periods without food or eat something sweet on an empty stomach. It's so crazy how much each pregnancy is different! With Elizabeth all I wanted was sweets. Cookies, cake, ice cream (which I normally do not like) and donuts were my constant craving. This time around I can hardly stomach sweets and if I do want something sugary, the craving is satisfied with a bite or two. Let's hope this carries over after baby boy is born...it should make losing the baby weight a whole lot easier!

Speaking of baby weight, I still haven't gained a pound. Initially with morning sickness I lost around five pounds and still haven't gained that back, so fingers crossed I can make it into the third trimester before the weight comes on. I was the same way with Elizabeth and my doctors assure me its totally fine...so I'm not gonna complain! My goal is to gain 20 pounds total with this baby... Maybe I'm nuts but I'm committed to it! With my OB's blessing I've started doing cardio every day at nap time and it was so hard the first few days! After fifteen weeks of inconsistent exercise the struggle was so real. I'm finally starting to finish my time strong, so I'm going to add another five minutes as of Monday so we'll see how that goes! I've been following up with yoga afterward and it's made the biggest difference in my sleep and just overall how I feel. I wish I would have done prenatal yoga with my last pregnancy, I know I would have felt so much better. You should always consult your doctor before starting a new exercise routine, and there's SO MANY free resources on Pinterest...I encourage you to check it out!

Unfortunately I've slacked majorly on the bump photos so far, so that's a goal for the rest of this pregnancy. On the bright side I've been feeling this little guy kick and wiggle and it's the best feeling in the world! I can't wait until it's more consistent and I can really feel those strong movements. It's one of my favorite parts of pregnancy for sure. It makes everything feel so real...like whoa, hey, you're really in there! Talk about feeling real...we've done a little shopping! In the video below I share our early gender reveal ultrasound experience and a little haul of random baby items we've picked up.

And that's my sixteenth week of pregnancy! I can't wait to share week seventeen with you all ( and hopefully film a vlog to go with it) along with a few other exciting things coming soon. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read (or watch) and share this journey with me...it means more than words.

Stay Blessed.

Gender Reveal! It's a...

I've been sitting on this news for almost two weeks... it's been nice keeping this little secret to myself, but I honestly cannot hold it in anymore! We've shared with close family and friends and now it's time to include our internet family. Brandon and I made the decision to have an elective early gender reveal ultrasound at fifteen weeks two days pregnant. The center we went to specializes in early gender reveals and I know so many people who have had wonderful experiences... it was an easy decision for us.

Saturday afternoon we walked into a spacious room with a huge tv on the wall, a bed in the center of the room and the ultrasound machine to the right of the bed. I got comfy on the bed and the tech helped me get into a good position and before we knew it our babe was on the screen wiggling away! It was literally kicking and moving so much she could hardly get a read on the heartbeat... when she finally did I was so excited for Brandon to hear it. After what felt like an eternity (which in reality was about two minutes) baby moved into a good position for a potty shot and BAM!

That's right folks! Elizabeth is going to be a big sister to her baby brother. Brandon was literally shocked and I was so beyond excited. I kept repeating "I can't believe this!" We were so excited to share the news with friends and family and watch the ultrasound at home... the package we purchased came with a DVD of the ultrasound! How neat is that! I can't wait to share a baby boy haul with you all soon... I've been shopping!

We honestly feel so blessed and can't wait to meet him in February. I hope this post finds you all well and I'll see you in Lynne this post.

Bless. 💜

How To: Keeping Toys Mold Free

My kids live for bath time, especially a bubble bath. My eight year old loves to "soak and relax" (no, I'm not kidding) and my younger two love to splash and play. What kid doesn't?

While scrolling through a mommy group on Facebook I saw a post that sincerely horrified me. Y'all.... a woman noticed some of her sons bath toys had dark spots on the inside, so naturally she investigated by cutting one open. I'm literally gagging trying to type this... inside was covered in mold! MOLD. I stopped reading right then and there and went into the bathroom, grabbed a rubber duck, and cut that sucker open. I was disgusted. It stunk to high heaven and was slimy and had little specks of mold inside... maybe this is something I'm late to the party on but I honestly had no idea this could happen!

I read through the comments on that post and a few moms had an awesome idea.... hot glue the openings to keep water out! Boom! Problem solved! Honestly I wish I could shake the hand of whoever originally thought this up, because it's genius. Anyway, I rounded up all the toys that weren't water tight and tossed them. My daughter chews on those toys and it just makes my stomach turn knowing they were so yucky. Ugh.

After a somewhat disappointing trip to Walmart to get replacements (they didn't have much to choose from) I came home and fired up my glue gun. Most of the toys I bought had one little opening that needed to be taken care of...it literally took two minutes start to finish! Elizabeth loved playing with her new toys and I loved not having to worry about slimy mold hiding inside them! Win win!

I always clean off they kids toys after a bath and lie them out to dry, and now I feel even better about keeping them clean and safe for my babies. I hope you all enjoyed this post, thank you so much for reading!

Bless.

Surprise! First Trimester Recap

I remember writing a similar post when I was pregnant with my daughter, Elizabeth...its wild that we are here doing this again. Today, I am officially fourteen weeks pregnant with our last baby.

Fourteen.

Weeks.

Pregnant.

I bet you weren't expecting that! Unless you know me in real life, or follow me on my YouTube channel where I make consistently irregular pregnancy updates. Speaking of YT the vlogs will be much more regular now that I am out of the icky stage for the most part and will be able to muster the energy to film! I have been waiting to update here simply because there isn't much going on week to week for the first three months. A lot of all the time sickness, a surplus of exhaustion, and occasionally a short lived burst of energy. That's about it. However this pregnancy has been much different than my last simply because I don't feel like I am going to pass out at all times, and the all day sickness has waned considerably. With my last, I was sick well into the second trimester and it. Was. Miserable.

Things are also a little different this time around because I am on a thyroid medication that I didn't need before... Maybe all these differences mean we are team blue instead of pink this time around? What do you think?? I want to give the old wives tales a try, maybe the baking soda test and the ring test? I plan to film a video/post letting you all know the "results" before I do a legit gender reveal. It will be fun to see how accurate (or inaccurate) they are!

In other news, I haven't gained any weight yet (I've actually lost six pounds) but I am to that uncomfortable point where it's time to break out the maternity pants. EXpect a haul soon, because I wasn't the biggest fan of the maternity jeans I wore with my last pregnancy. I am also going to need a lot of fall/winter clothing, but for now I am going to buy a few summer tops as well.

To be completely honest I am so overwhelmed and excited for this baby to arrive and close this chapter of our lives. Our family will finally be complete and we are so blessed! I can't wait to share with you all, in the meantime stay wonderful and thank you for reading.

Memorial Day Weekend 2017

I gotta tell tell you guys, I had one of the best weekends I've had in a long time. We didn't do anything fancy, didn't go anywhere extravagant and exciting. We unplugged (for the most part) and just spent time together. About six year ago Brandon's dad bought all of the grandkids little four wheelers. I'm sure if you are well versed in this sort of thing, you know the actual name for the mini kid friendly things, but I just call them baby four wheelers! Most of the grandkids, apart from Cameron, Chandler and their cousin, have outgrown them. Grandpa generously gave chandler his own, and a second slightly larger one for the boys to share. When I say for the boys to share let me be clear: for Brandon to ride on. What can I say...he's a kid at heart and I love it. It keeps us young and on our toes! Since Grandpa Tad was so generous, we spent most of Monday morning recovering from a late movie night (spoiler alert: Boss Baby is AWESOME!) and then made the twenty ish minute drive to pick them up. I can't even put into words how elated my boys were. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little excited too. While we waited for Brandon and Tad to load them up Cameron and Chandler decided to "mow" the grass, and visit with the neighbors horse.

Once we loaded up we headed to the store to get paint because the baby four wheeler that chandler inherited was hot pink camouflage, and he wasted no time in telling us that's not his style. After spending way too long arguing over which shade of green would look the best ( he wanted baby poo diarrhea green...yuck) we made it home with two cans of high gloss "spring green." After a good scrub, three coats later it was looking pretty sharp if I do say so myself. Clearly we still need to touch up a few places and go over the black areas where they weren't protected enough...but a five year old only has so many patience.... And he was on E. Big brother got to drive first since he has been riding since he was about two and  half and couldn't wait to show Chandler the ropes. After riding with Brandon for a while, he was able to take off on his own! (And don't worry, his had been adjusted so he couldn't go very fast) Honestly, I am pretty sure in the two years I've been step mommin' these boys, I've never seen Chandler more proud of himself. He was a little nervous at first, and still needs a bit of practice before we take him out to ride, but he did a really good job! btw can we all just say a prayer for my yard please?

My yard might have a few tracks, my kitchen was a mess after all the food I cooked, but my heart was so full I hardly noticed.

Starting Over For the Last Time

My postpartum mommas (or any woman trying to improve their health) can understand the struggle I've been dealing with lately. I am 12 month PP and I gotta say trying to get back into my groove has been so hard. In the beginning I was recovering and prayed for that six week mark to come quickly on a daily basis. When it finally arrived I became overwhelmingly aware of how different my body is now. My back is so sensitive from my epidural. Running was painful for my breasts (TMI? Not sorry, I'm being real here.) I could go on for hours but I won't bore you, and Law and Order SVU will be on soon so I gotta hurry up.

I tried taking things slow with Yoga and building my back strength, which did help. Time flew by and I was so shleep deprived before I knew it the holidays were here and  I was SURROUNDED by sweets and rich foods. So like a million other people when January rolled around I committed to a "new me" and joined in on the Tone It Up Look for Love challenge. It was great, I saw results, but once it ended I lost my motivation again. See a pattern here? Once again I committed to the TIU Bikini Series, and the challenge is halfway over and I've fallen off the wagon once again. To be frank, I'm sick of my own shit. I'm tired of waking up tired. I'm tired of having ZERO energy throughout the day. Of not being capable of doing what I want to do. Of not loving how most of my clothes fit. So this morning I hopped on Pinterest and found a few workouts/challenges that I'm committing to, and I thought I would share them with you.

For whatever reason my body tends to show progress upstairs first. Meaning my arms/chest/ stomach tend to lean out and gain muscle a lot easier than my lower body. I kept that in mind and decided that I am *mostly* focusing on that right now, because once I see change it lights a fire under me to keep going. After looking through my own pins and searching around I decided on two arm challenges, a leg and bum challenge, and in case I want to mix things up a sweat through the alphabet workout. If you want to check out all the other awesome pins I found, go to my fitness board here.

I will also be tossing in a yoga sequence a few times a week. It's good for the muscles and the mind, y'all. All of that combined with a 70/30 diet and lots of water should hopefully give me the kickstart I need. Let's be honest, it's really hard to take care of others when we aren't taking care of ourselves. As a parent I know it's hard to find the time, but I am going to make time, y'all. Who's with me?

Mini Style: Cat & Jack Favorites

It's Friiidaaaayyyy which means it's Memorial Day weekend! One of my favorite things to do is pick out Elizabeth's holiday outfits. Combining that with my love of Cat & Jack for Target and you have one extremely happy momma. There are so many cute options for little girls (and boys) that I had a hard time making a decision while I was shopping this week. I included a few of my favorites for you guys to check out and you can shop them here.  I am always down for anything patriotic/red white & blue and they did not disappoint! If that's not your jam, they still have you covered and the price points are super reasonable. I hope you all enjoy, comment below and tell me what you purchased!

5 Tips To Grow Your Child's Library (budget friendly!)

I have always had a HUGE love of books, stories, fairytales... as a kid I could sit in my grandmas comfy blue recliner and read for hours uninterrupted. When I found out I was expecting Elizabeth I knew I wanted to start building her a little library of her own. As you probably know, she is my first baby so I had to start from scratch for baby gear, clothes, etc. It was EXPENSIVE! Y'all, I knew babies aren't cheap, but when you start adding up every little necessity it is staggering. I decided there had to be a more cost effective way to get my girl plenty of options for bedtime stories without breaking the bank, and I think I've been fairly successful! So buckle up, your about to fall down a budget friendly rabbit hole. Let's go!

I'm going to be totally honest here. I LOVE Target, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million... but they are not always budget friendly in the book department. I turned to google and was not disappointed.

1. Imagination Library. Dolly Parton has an awesome program for children 0-5years to receive one book a month, completely free. Sounds to good to be true, but it's legit. The idea is that from infancy to the age of five children will have collected an entire library of their own! We love it and enrolled Ellie when she was a few months old. It does take a month or two to get your first book, but we aren't complaining. This is a wonderful program and we are super grateful to participate. Below are the books we have received so far.

2. Half Price Books. I have been going to HP since I was a kid. I love the idea of finding good reads at a very reasonable price. There's also something cool about reading a book that has been loved by someone before you. I don't know, maybe I am weird. We go there frequently and peruse the kids section and are never disappointed.

3. Thrift stores. Whether it's Goodwill or another similar store near you, it's almost guaranteed you will hit the jackpot. Our Goodwill always has well stocked shelves and each book is $1. Yes, one dollar. You can't beat that!

4. Facebook Marketplace. (Or similar apps) I tend to check the kids section of FB Marketplace frequently, as people tend to list things often. Several times I've seen boxes of children's books in great condition sell for around $5. That's a steal in my opinion!

5. The Dollar Tree. If I am looking for seasonal books, I check out the dollar tree first. They usually have a decent variety to choose from, but they do sell fast! My daughters favorite Christmas book came from there, but I picked it up in November...so keep your eyes peeled.

There are so many ways to build a library for your child on a budget. You can ask friends and family to donate the books they no longer read, check out local flea markets or clearance sections in your favorite stores, and of course utilize the five tips I listed above. Let me know in the comments below a book or two that I should pick up for my littles! Thanks for stopping by!

Catching Up

Hi.
I feel so unbelievably awkward right now as I type this. I haven't updated this blog in around three months, and I gotta say I'm truly sorry. My life has been so hectic ( in both positive and negative ways) but I'll get into that some other time. I don't want to bore y'all. I've been poking around here I think the time has come for a blog makeover. I'm feeling a lot of change lately. My little corner of the internet originated with my pregnancy updates, so naturally I am going to bombard you with photos from Elizabeth's first birthday party! I have a post coming at you soon where I'll share how I've felt about the whole thing, but I can't keep all the photos to myself any longer.

Can you believe she's a year old? This blog is going on a year and a half old... my babies are growing so fast! I feel like I had her yesterday, blinked, and here we are. Its such a bittersweet feeling! I used to roll my eyes when people would say that about their children growing up, and now I feel guilty because it's definitely true.

I'm sorry.

Oh my goodness you guys. It's been almost two months since I've written a blog post. I am so sorry, and I have missed you all so much! Hopefully you follow me over on my YouTube channel, so you don't miss any of the shenanigans going on over there.... like daily(ish) vlogging. It's been super fun but I think it's time this blog gets some love as well. So things have happened in the last few months... let me catch you up.  First up: my fitness journey! Like a lot of people I decided to really commit to exercise in the new year. I am (ridiculously) proud to report that I have stuck to my guns and I am still on the wagon. I have to give credit where it's due, and without the Tone It Up look for love Challenge I doubt I would still be working as hard as I am. Unfortunately that challenge is over, So now I am focusing on Beachbody's Focus T25 program along with TIU Daily Moves. I will go into more detail in a separate post soon!

My baby girl is nine months old. I can't believe it. I will do a nine month update video and post so expect all the details about Elizabeth soon, along with some Birthday party planning ideas! I'm so excited!

We added a new member to the family!!! Nigel is an eight week old American Bulldog mix and we are absolutely obsessed with him. So far he's doing well with potty training, he loves big brother skip and desperately wants the cat to play with him. Elizabeth likes him and the boys meet him for the first time tonight, they have no idea! I can't wait to see their reactions, so stay tuned!

I hope you all can forgive my absence she and welcome me back into your blog reading lives with open arms. I love you all and I'll see you soon.
