Pregnancy Update: Weeks 32&33

I put off writing this update because there isn't much to say! Week 32 was much like week 31. Same symptoms, same cravings. The baby bump did pop even more, if that's possible. I can't imagine what I'm going to look like at fourty weeks!

Week 33 did have some excitement! My baby shower was amazing. I already talked to y'all all about that. I couldn't help it. I've been itching to write that post since the evening of the shower! As far as symptoms and such...not much has changed. At this point I don't really expect it to. However I did experience contractions at five minutes apart, lasting a full minute or longer. I was almost convinced it was go time! So far she's still chillin in my belly where she should be for at least another month. I have a doctor's appointment Tuesday afternoon and plan to mention the regular contractions just to be safe. I'm sure it's nothing.

I've picked out her going home outfit and and I've laid out a few other things to take to the hospital with us. I'm a little bit lost, honestly. What are you/have you packed in your baby bag for the hospital? What were your must haves? I don't want to take too much...but I would rather have too much than not enough.

This update was kinda lame...I know. Hopefully 34 will be more exciting. If you bothered to finish this post, you deserve a gold star. I love you.

TuTu Cute Baby Shower

Well. Better (a week) late than never, right? It's been a week since my shower and  I've been anxiously trying to find the time to write this post. It's like the closer we get to D-Day, the less energy I have...and the more I need to accomplish. But that's a whole other post. I'm suuuuuuper stoked to show you all the amazing décor. My family went over the top, and I'm so grateful. I didn't have much to do with the planning, but it couldn't have been more "me."

As you probably guessed, this is going to be a picture heavy post! First off, I want to share the tables with you. I died when I saw the gold chargers. So pretty! And the center pieces? Seriously? How talented is my cousin Nikki? She made these! The tutu's are just gorgeous. I was so excited to see my favorite flowers in the Mason jars. You can't go wrong with tulips.

Food. Oh, the food. Vegetable ranch cups, wraps, chicken salad....the list goes on. And it was all delicious. Plus I got to bring the left overs home. Score!

How pretty was the mantle? I've always bad an obsession with pigs, so my aunt picked up Elizabeth's first bank and used it for decoration. How sweet? And the votives with little tutu's. I can't. So cute.

I decided not to post pictures of her gifts, at least all together. However my mom bought me a cute little organizer that is now FULL! I shared it on Instagram, so I'll share it here too. I need go point out that bow holder.... my cousin Sara made that and stuffed it with headbands and bows! How sweet!

We are so blessed. Family and friends were so generous, and she will be decked out in tutu's for months! The tutu cute theme was definitely a success, and I had a blast celebrating Elizabeth with everyone.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately! Y'all know how grateful I am for every visit to this little blog. It's my happy place.

This Crazy Life

It's insane how quickly I can fall behind. On blogging. On answering emails. On housework. The last week or so has flown by. Fortunately I did get my pregnancy updates caught up! I feel like that particular content has been ruleing my blog. There are so many other things I want to share. In all honesty, it's just timing.

I have been blessed with two amazing "bonus" children, my step sons. I am thirty four weeks pregnant with my first biological child... And this could very well be my final pregnancy. Since starting this blog, I've treated it almost like a diary. I find myself looking back at posts already just to revisit the memory in a unique way. Think baby shower post, for example.

So I'm okay with pregnancy/baby things taking over right now, as they might not ever happen again. It's so bittersweet just typing those words. I'm happy with the family I have, one hundred percent. There are a lot of components to adding another member to our already growing family. I think we have reached maximum capacity, as Brandon likes to joke! Never say never, I guess.

I appreciate every single one of you that stops by to read every update, regardless of how random or untimely they are. I'm working on variety, and setting goals for this particular platform. So hang in there, you! Although I know this probably goes without saying...but I'm having a baby in a few weeks.

Oh my gosh.  Hyperventilating.  K, I'm fine. So anyway. Posts will be irregular, and more than likely focused on Elizabeth for a few weeks. Like I said, I'm working on variety, but life is crazy and I want to stay true to posting what is relevant in my life right now. Make sense?

So all that jumble to say, I love and appreciate you, I have goals and stuff, and things will be a little more exciting around  here eventually. Ya dig?

My Chill Is On Life Support

I don't like to be negative. Who does? Who honestly likes having a bad day? No one I know.

However this last week has kicked my ass. It was one thing after an other.... And I'm desperately praying for a better outlook for this week.

Between behavioral issues with my boys (I'll post about that later) breaking my very expensive and very new phone, plumbing issues, being eight months pregnant and miserable.... My chill is on life support. I have NO patience left.

Now wait. Hold on. I know. These are all most definitely "first world" problems and they may pale in comparison to others issues. That being said, it doesn't lessen the stress for me.

This week I'm asking the Lord to help me be patient, kind, and to just look forward to every day with excitement. I have my struggles (who doesn't) but I also have A LOT to be grateful for.

This week I'm focusing on getting back to normal. Back on schedule. With blogging, my kids, my home. Wish me luck! I should probably apologize for whining. If you read this entire thing, you rock! Stay tuned for my 32 week pregnancy update, a product review...  I've got some good things coming your way!

Pregnancy Update: Weeks 30 & 31

Nine. Weeks. Left.

Single digits, people. I say it every week, I know, but I don't know how we are here already! I feel like last week I got that positive test...found out she was a girl....my goodness. Time flies when you're having fun.

If you stop by regularly (and a big ole thank you to those that do!) You might have noticed there was only one post last week, and no pregnancy update. Life was busy, and honestly I just couldnt get to it. Life happens. Which is why I'm doubling up today!

Symotoms: Back pain is a real struggle. I know it's only going to get worse, and that thought makes me feel ill. Broken sleep is a regular thing now as well. I shouldn't complain about this, it's good training for sleepless nights with my little babe. Heartburn still sucks. Braxton Hicks crop up at random times. Drink alllll the water, fellow preggos. It helps.

Cravings: Sweets. Just give me all the chocolate, mmmk? I'm always down for a s'mores Pop Tart. And Mountain Dew. I've never really been a pop drinker.... But a can of Dew Makes me a happy momma.

Mood: I'm in a more positive place, thank goodness. The warmer it gets the happier I am! I'm so ready for summer it's unbelievable. I still have mood swings, but they are not that bad. At least, for me.

The nursery is completely painted! We need to work on getting her furniture in there and squared away. Hopefully we can do that in the next two weeks. Why? Because we only have TWELVE DAYS until my baby shower!!!! I want to be able to bring her new things home and just put them away. Hopefully we can make that happen.

I also got super excited over the weekend when I found one of our must have items on sale at Babies R Us. How cute is this?! I even put it together myself.

I'm super proud. I believe I've covered the necessities for this week! Thank you so so so much for stopping by. You're awesome.
